Gujarathi Dal - Ingredients:

Thur Dal 125 gms
Oil 2 tbsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Green chillies chopped 4
Ginger 1 inch piece.
Coriader leaves chopped a few
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
Sugar 3 tsp
Salt to taste
tamarind juice to taste.(optional)
Gujarathi Dal - Directions:
  1. Cook dal well and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil and fry mustard and jeera.

  3. When fried add dal,chilli powder,asafoetida,salt,sugar,tamarind,green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves.

  4. Boil well and serve hot.
