Lenthil Soup - Ingredients:

Thuvar dal 100 gms.
Onion chopped 2 
salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp.
Curry leaves a few.
Tamarind water 1 tsp.
Butter 1 tbsp.
Bread fried 1 slice(made to cubes).
Water 1 1/2 litres.
Milk 1/2 cup.
Corn Flour 1 tbsp ( for thickening optional).

Lenthil Soup - Directions:
  1. Cook dal and oion on moderate fire for about half an hour till the dal becomes soft.

  2. Mash and rub it through a seive.

  3. Add butter,salt,turmeric and curry leaves to stained dal.

  4. Boil for few minutes.

  5. When serving add fried bread cubes.

  6. If thickening is desired con flour may be mixed with milk and can be added when it is being boiled.
