Mutton Spicy Kurma - Ingredients:

Meat  kg 
Grated  Coconut  
Chilies 15 
Ginger 1 inch piece 
Garlic 2 flakes
Chick peas (Pottu kadalai) 3 Tbsp 
Oil 4 Tbsp 
Khus khus 2 Tsp 
Tomatoes 5 
Big Onions 5 
Lime 1/2 
Potatoes 4 
Cinnamon 1/2 inch piece 
Bay leaf 1 small piece 
Turmeric powder 1/2 Tsp 
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves a few
Mutton Spicy Kurma - Directions:
  1. Wash meat and cut into pieces.

  2. cut and keep onions, garlic and tomato.

  3. Grind together grated coconut, ginger, green chillies, pothu kadalai and khus khus to a fine paste.

  4. Heat a vessel with oil, first put cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves, somph and then cut onions and garlic.

  5. When onion turns brown, add the cut tomatoes and fry well. Then add the cut meat and turmeric powder.

  6. Mix well. Fry till the meat is well-browned. Then put in a pressure cooker with 2 or 3 glasses of water and pressure cook for 20 minutes.

  7. Then open the pressure cooker, add the ground masala, add salt to taste and let it boil for 10 minutes, till the masala is well mixed and the gravy becomes fairly thick.

  8. Boil the potatoes and cut into pieces to the size of meat pieces.

  9. Now add the boiled potatoes to the kurma, boil for a few minutes and then remove from the fire, and juice of 1/2 a lime, garnish with cut coriander leaves.
