Pavakka Mezhukkupuratti - Ingredients:

Pavakka (Bitter Gourd)   2 nos
Onion (Large)   1 no
Green Chillies   2 nos 
Coconut slices  1/2 cup
Oil  4 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste


Pavakka Mezhukkupuratti - Directions:
  1. Cut Pavakka length wise. Slice the onions thin.

  2. Pour oil into a hard bottomed pan and add Pavakka and Onion slices, along with green chillies and coconut slices.

  3. Add salt and turmeric powder. Cook covered on low flame for about 2 minutes.

  4. Open the lid and cook on low flame, for another 5-6 minutes, until the rawness of the vegetable disappears.

  5. served with Rice.
