Pavakka Theeyal - Ingredients:

Bitter gourd (Pavakka)250 gm
Grated coconut 1
Chilly powder 1 tbsp
Coriander   tbsp
Turmeric   tsp
Salt to taste
Cocum(Kodampuli)2 flakes
Tamarind 1 tsp
Mustard  one pinch
Curry leaves a few
Pavakka Theeyal - Directions:
  1. Simmer the bitter gourd adding turmeric powder, salt and cocum.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan and saut the grated coconut, small onion slices.

  3. When it becomes brown add chilly, turmeric and coriander powder.

  4. Stir it till it also becomes brown.

  5. Mix the simmered Bitter gourd.

  6. Heat the oil in a pan and split the mustard and saut the curry leaves and add it to theeyal.
