Potato Sambar - Ingredients:

Thur  dhal  1 cup
Onions chopped  2 
Boiled and mashed Potatoes  1/2 cup
Green chilies  3  cut lengthwise 
Tomatoes chopped  2 
Ginger 1 tsp 
Garlic  1 tsp 
Coconut powder  2 tsp
Red Chili Powder  1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder  1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil  1/2 tbsp
Lemon  1
Chopped coriander leaves a few

Potato Sambar - Directions:
  1. Pressure cook thur dhal and mash well.

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic and green chilies and fry for few minutes.

  3. Add onions and tomatoes and fry for 5 minutes. Then add the boiled potatoes & coconut powder and fry well.

  4. Mix the mashed thoor dhal with this and add turmeric,chili powder and salt.

  5. Add water . Boil for 7 minutes. Then add lemon juice according to your taste.

  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  7. Serve hot with rice.
